Got a Grip
Goodmorning to all you in Blog Land.
Its 7:15 and while my family is sleeping, I have already been out for a 7.5km run. Yup.
I would give you stats and stuff, but I don't have them, as my Garmin decided that it didn't want to wake up before 6:50am. I was standing at the edge of my building in the wind and cold for like 15 minutes and it still wouldn't connect to the sattelites. And then, it was dark, and I am paranoid, so I just started running. And it was a good run.
I stopped on the way home to get some Nutella and Bananas for breakfast (we were out) and the last oh 1.5km were kinda like a run/walk jig. Yeahh. It was a little difficult running with 3 lbs of Bananas and a kg of Nutella, in a plastic bag. Note to self: Next time, bring empty backback.
It was so nice out, as soon as the sun started coming up, i was on top of a hill, and I looked down, and it was all like pink sky and really nice. Once the sun came up totally, I took off my headphones, turned off my music and just kind of enjoyed the silence. Then I stretched near a tree. I think I needed that, the whole beauty and stuff.
I have also been looking back through my logs, and I have realized that every few weeks or so, I have a relatively good week, and then i have a couple days where I am struggling. And then I am back. Glad to say I am back, but unfortunately you may have to put up with a couple more of those posts.
OH, and the Rocky song, "Eye of the Tiger" Spoke to me today. I listen to it a lot. It is one of my power songs. You know, 'Tiger," But today, it said...
Don't loose your grip on the dreams of the past, you must fight just to keep them alive
Its the truth. I got a good grip on this dream.

Glad to have you back :-) I take it your Garmin was having technical challenges? eh? What model do you have? The newer runs are more sensitive than the older models. I went through woods on my entire run today and it never lost a signal. I was amazed...
Training goes in cycles. That's why log books are great. It gives you insight into just this sitiation :-) Go get'em, Tiger!
I have the Garmin 205. No HRM because my HRM annoys the crap out of me. That was my first technical investment. Then the Garmin.
I don't know if it was neccessarily having technical difficulties, but after like a couple of minutes, me (I'm paranoid and was nervous to be running that early all by myself anyways)so I gave up. Usually it only takes a couple seconds.
What model do you have?
You can't be "on" every day. Just try to have more good runs than bad runs and you'll be okay.
