What's Another 5.1km????

Nothing! Thats the answer!! I did 16km and it was EASY BREEZY!! I am so excited. Had I not had to go to work in about ohh half hour, I probably would have done the extra 5.1km, but well, like I said, I had to work. So my average pace was 6:28...right on track.

But, the last 3km were at a pace that was LESS than race pace. It was a really good run. Potty break today at the Running Room. Didn't need it. Ohhh..and I wore new shoes. Yah. If you see my Last post, you will notice that my body told me I had to. Im not the boss anymore. I have surrendered control!! I have two different feet (Well obiously a left and a right,) but I need a cushioning shoe for one foot and a stability shoe for the other. Will be looking into orthodics, I have pain in like my toes...weird...

I had a gel today. At 45 minutes. Chocolate. Powerbar brand. Not bad...thinking about trying Clif Shots next week...for another 16!!! Next week Joe gets to do 12!!! Lucky him...

hmmm. I am very tired. Long day at work, then a movie. It's 1am. I am up at 6...crazy me..It's gonne be a long day tomorrow.

Summary?? Nah. I ran 16!! That's all you need to know.

Hope everything is Well, Take Care

Well done! See if you can improve when you repeat that same distance next week.

As for the two different types of shoes, one for each foot, I've never heard of that. Orthotics might be an option but perhaps you should also see a physiotherapist. A physiotherapist should be able to give you several great exercises to strengthen the weaker leg so that you can eventually wear the same type of shoe on both feet.

Hmm...everyone else seems to think I am crazy too! I guess prevention and strenthening is better than having to fix it with expensive orthodics, right? If only they made an identical design for a cushioning and stability shoe, that way I could

There is a physio therapist coming into the Running Room tomorrow to talk to our clinic, so maybe she has something interesting to say about two different feet.

Thank's for the idea!

OK. Time for the American translation. 16 kilometers, about 10 miles at a 6:28/pk pace which is around 10 minute miles... Suweeeeet girl! I'm not surprised that you have two different types of feet. It happens, but I do agree with Joe you might need a little help figuring it out. So I need to back track to find out what race you signed up for, and I have all kinds of races on my schedule for this year. Three tris and another half mary in October. Trying to work out with Dee Dee when exactly to do a full. We'll see.

Haha. American Translation..10 miles. I signed up for the Mississauga Half Marathon. I'll put a link in my next post (Don't know how to do it here)

How long is a triathalon?! That sounds like fun! Im doing a "Try-a-Tri" in September which should be fun.
